Sono state realizzate in occasione dell’esibizione “The Amazing Shoemaker” tenutasi presso il Museo Salvatore Ferragamo a Firenze e si ispirano a un paio dello stesso stilista che apparvero in uno spot pubblicitario del 1951.
Sembrano state “rubate” direttamente al dio Mercurio, ma in realtà queste favolose scarpe sono state prodotte dalla maison italiana che realizzò le ali tagliandole a mano. Per chiunque volesse ammirarle dal vivo, le trovate in esposizione insieme al celebre spot e alla statua del Mercurio di Giambologna (Jean de Boulogne) presso il museo di Firenze che abbiamo precedentemente citato. They have been realized on occasion of the exhibition “The Amazing Shoemaker” at the Museo Salvatore Ferragamo in Florence and they were inspired by an original Ferragamo shoe that appears in an advert published in 1951. They seems to be “stolen” from Mercury but actually, these amazing shoes have been produced by the italian maison which realized the wings by hand. Everyone who want to see them have just to go the Florence museum, whereof we talked before, to admire the shoes, the 1951 advertising and the Giambologna’s Mercury statue.
